History

The Gardens were originally know and St George's Gardens but they fell into disrepair and were almost built on. It was at this time that Lord Ashton stepped in and paid for the Council to buy the gardens for the people of St Annes. They were renamed Ashton Gardens in his honour.

This part of the website has three sub sections.
